  France It doesn’t take an expert in musical genres and movements to find out that over the last 2 years, a new musical family has built itself on the ruins of loud big-beat-like fidget and overly distorted washing machine electro. Inspired by the “less is more” ethics of minimal techno as much as the “DIY/sample-anything-as-long-as-it’s-got-attitude” philosophy of hip-hop, this new un-named form of groovy and refreshing house music is rising and —originally an Institubes’ “little brother label”— Sound Pellegrino is proud to be on the forefront of such an exciting phenomenon. Curated by renowned DJs and taste makers ORGASMIC and TEKI LATEX, (from pioneer electronic hip hop outfit TTC – Teki also happens to be one of the founders of Institubes), Sound Pellegrino has quickly established itself as one of the labels to reckon with, releasing singles by Zombie Disco Squad, Renaissance Man, Harvard Bass, Momma’s Boy, L-VIS 1990, Para One, Gucci Vump and Douster (amongst others) and generating interest by A-List DJs from all ends of the dance music spectrum such as Laidback Luke, Boys Noize, A-Trak, Bart B More, Sinden, Pete Tong, Claude Von Stroke, Tiesto, Riva Starr, Ivan Smagghe, Laurent Garnier, Chloé to name a few. Today Orgasmic and Teki Latex, the two public faces of the label, unite to form the SOUND PELLEGRINO THERMAL TEAM and they are ready to take that movement to a club near you. Even though their teaming up behind the turntables is rather recent, these two have known each other for 15 years and have released countless collaborations. Going through various musical phases, they have always kept a will to explore forward-thinking dance music that will make the crowd go crazy without sounding stale and outdated. Mixing ingredients ranging from tribal rhythms, pumping tech house and mini baltimore to warped funky sounds with a slice of club rap thrown in for good mesure, the Thermal Team’s mineral cocktail promises to bring something refreshing and bubbly to the table. With already 5 mixes acclaimed by the blogosphere under their belt, the A&R and helming of the 20 releases of Sound Pellegrino’s exemplary catalog, as well as remixes for the likes of L-Vis 1990 or Momma’s Boy out and the Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team debut EP scheduled for June 2011, this new combination of already well established forces is ready to take the house music world by storm. December 2010: they debut their top iTunes-charting SOUND PELLEGRINO PODCAST, a weekly one-hour show during which they play exclusives from the label and its huge extended family.   Romania Established in Romania in '98, Happy Gutenberg had his first contact with electronic music in '94 in Syria, where his passion for music drove him to play music in clubs. In 2003 his first party as a DJ happened at Web Club in Bucharest. With the help of his mentor Florin Marica known as DJ Marika (resident DJ at Web Club at that time) and Suie Paparude lead singer Mihai Dobre and the Owner of the club Ionas, he continued to play at various events and parties in Bucharest and other cities in Romania. His sound is somewhere between House, nudisco. Late 2005 was of great importance for him as a DJ. Collaborating with The Mission and mixing with appreciated artists like Haute Culture, Michi (Suie Paparude), Marika, Gemini Bros, Vania, D-Laid, Thornado, VRT, Markus Schulz, Frank Loper, The Model, Gojira, DJ Vasile, and many more...   Austria Felice describes himself as 'just a guy who loves makin` music, clubs and parties.' With several top 5 Beatport and Traxsource charted tracks he's a bit more than just that. DJing all over Austria, Felice draws inspiration from diverse sources, such as Daft Punk and Motown. One of his favorite gigs was at the MTV Hauptstadtclub in Salzburg, where he played with D.O.N.S and Jesse Voorn.   Belgium Born in July 1987 in Aachen, Germany, Daniel Danieli aka Karl M made his first steps in music at the early age of six years. His first musical mission was to perform a rhythm on his new set of drums he had just received from Santa. With a little help from his brother, Karl M's first rhythm soon came to life: "We will rock you" by Queen... Since that very day, music became part of his life. His father plays the sax and clarinet, his mother sings and plays the piano, his brother the violin, his younger sister the piano too and his older sister is also a singer. Obviously, music is a family talent. At the age of 16, a friend gave him some music software called Reason. As any beginning, his first few songs were short, not that very complicated and not part of any particular genre. Through these musical tryouts, with sounds and noises, he was looking to find his way of music. Since then, day after day, he learned more and more about music software, never loosing sight of his goal: Getting discovered through his music and becoming a producer! When he was 22 years old, Karl M decided to use Ableton Live instead of Reason. Step by step, things took shape! He invested in musical equipment: Synthesizers, soundcard, groove box, and so on. Everything he knows now, he taught himself through experimentations, web tutorials and the advice of good friends, which enabled him to get a profound knowledge of his software. He discovered his love for minimal music rather late and he is therefore still looking for his way in that particular kind of music. His goal? Being discovered by a German label, preferably one from Berlin, which is the purest of all places for minimal music. In April 2011, Karl M finishes up his first tracks. Sent foremost to Germany, his music rapidly met with success. But the first truly important call came from nowhere less than the city of Berlin: An independent label called Trackord Records offered him a contract to release his very first EP with 3 of his tracks: Fall Up EP marks the resurrection of Karl M after a rather dark time for the artist, resulting in those 3 songs full of melancholy and hope.
